CCALMR vacancies: Science Manager!

A call for applications for the position of Science Manager is now open at the CCALMR to provide strategic oversight, coordination, leadership and work program management for the provision of scientific services to the Secretariat, the Scientific Committee and Members. The CCAMLR Convention Area covers about 10% of the global ocean and includes all Antarctic marine ecosystems.


CCAMLR Scientific Scholarship Scheme

In 2010 CCAMLR established the CCAMLR Scientific Scholarship Scheme to assist early career scientists to participate in the work of the Scientific Committee and its working groups. The objective of the Scholarship Scheme is to contribute to capacity building within the CCAMLR scientific community in order to help generate and sustain a sound basis of scientific expertise able to support the requirements of CCAMLR in the long term.


About CCAMLR

The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) was established by international convention in 1982. Based on the best available scientific information, the Commission determines measures and actions necessary to conserve and sustainably harvest marine living resources in the Antarctic.
