About The Event
In the lead-up to the One Health Summit, to be held in Lyon on the 7th of April 2026, the Embassy of France in Australia will host a France–Australia dialogue at the Residence of France in Canberra, in partnership with AFRAN. This conference aims to foster strategic exchanges between French and Australian stakeholders and strengthen bilateral cooperation on One Health across the Pacific region.
The event will focus in particular on two key pillars of the One Health Summit agenda:
Preventing the emergence of zoonotic diseases, including the promotion of the PREZODE initiative (Preventing ZOonotic Disease Emergence);
Combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR), including support for the International Coalition against Antimicrobial Resistance.
This event aims to provide a platform for strategic dialogue, reinforce France–Australia collaboration, and contribute concrete momentum to the One Health Summit’s objectives in the Pacific region.
