Infra-Red Astronomy in Antarctica - Workshop

13-16 September 2022

Funded by the FASIC program of the Embassy of France in Australia (the 2023 call is now open!), a French-Australian team of astronomers is gathering at the Côte d'Azure Observatory (Nice, France) to prepare for the installation of a Cryoscope prototype and a cutting-edge infrared telescopes at Concordia. They will discuss how to combine scientific goals for Exoplanets and Extragalactic Astronomy.

The meeting will consist of short presentations with discussions about the interest of IR and Antarctica for Exoplanet Science and Extragalactic Astronomy, the technical aspects of the new instruments, the constraints of the site, as well as the logistics and political aspects.
