AFRAN Research Mobility Network

We need you to gauge the interest in establishing a research network of academics and industry researchers that wish to find potential partners and/or students in their field of interest. This short survey will allow us to collect the contact details of interested participants and understand what is expected by the future members to help form an efficient network.

The function of this network can be described in several examples:

1. Student - Academia/Industry: A student in Australia/France is interested in a placement/work experience in France/Australia, they contact AFRAN to help look for opportunities, AFRAN uses this network to forward motivation letter+CV to relevant Academics/Professionals.

   
   

2. Academia - Student/Industry: An Australian/French based academic has an idea for a project that may interest other universities or the industry in both countries, and uses this network to help find the appropriate contact to formulate a joint project proposal or an appropriate PhD/Master candidate.

   
   

3. Industry - Student/Academia: An industry member of AFRAN has a project to offer for an industry sponsored thesis (e.g. CIFRE) and wants to advertise the position to relevant universities and students with appropriate specialisations.

   
   

Although the network is currently only capable of aiding in making connections between members, there is potential to establish AFRAN funding opportunities such as scholarships and/or project grants in the future. This network would serve as a facilitator in being aware of the most relevant funding opportunities as they become available.
