[CALL FOR PARTICIPATION] Women Powering Circularity in the Pacific: Your Voice Matters!
You are invited to participate in the Women Powering Circularity in the Pacific study. For background, this collaborative project brings together researchers from Western Sydney University, the University of New Caledonia, and the University of French Polynesia, in partnership with SPREP (Pacific Regional Environment Programme). It explores how Pacific women lead and innovate in circular economy and sustainable practices across households, enterprises and communities. Participation is open to women and men across the Pacific who are currently involved in community and entrepreneurial engagement (CE) initiatives related to fisheries, coastal resource management, SMEs, pearl farms, sugar cane, agricultural sites, or women-run markets or any related sustainable business ventures.
Phase 1 of the project includes the following survey, which explores awareness of Circularity practices. See the link below to access it.
English Version Access the English Survey
We warmly invite you to complete the survey using the link or QR code provided and to share it with others (we hope to reach as many participants as possible). The survey will help us understand the awareness levels of CE practices across the Pacific. If you could share it with your network, we would greatly appreciate it.
Phases 2 and 3 involve interviews and site visits in New Caledonia and Tahiti (with plans to expand to other regions) to showcase women-led initiatives and inform resources such as podcasts, story cards, infographics, and short films.
The findings will contribute to discussions and will be presented during the 5th Cleaner Pacific Roundtable (CPRT) in Papua New Guinea, organised by SPREP, which is involved in our study.
Letting you also know that this TUPU project is funded by the International Science Council Regional Focal Point for Asia and the Pacific (ISC RFP-AP) in partnership with the Pacific Islands Universities Regional Network (PIURN)
Thank you again for participating, sharing your valuable knowledge and experiences with us, and helping disseminate them. Please do not hesitate to reach us at any time for any clarifications regarding the survey instrument or to discuss such an important and relevant research area. We are also happy to run online sessions with women/men who would like more clarification about the project and need assistance completing the attached survey.
