Help Us Map France–Australia Research Collaboration

At AFRAN, we know that successful international research partnerships are built on more than funding alone. They grow through people, institutions, shared opportunities and long-term commitment.

To better understand what makes France–Australia research collaboration thrive, we are launching a short survey to map the pathways, mechanisms and enabling factors behind successful partnerships.

We are particularly interested in learning:

🔹 How research collaborations between France and Australia first emerge

🔹 What helps sustain these collaborations over time

🔹 Which funding schemes, agreements and institutional mechanisms are most effective

🔹 How future cooperation can be strengthened across research and innovation

Whether your collaboration is supported by a formal agreement, a funding programme, a personal connection, or a long-standing institutional partnership, your experience can help build a clearer picture of the ecosystem that underpins France–Australia cooperation.

The findings will help AFRAN identify best practices, highlight successful models, and support future initiatives that strengthen research and innovation links between France, Australia and their territories.

We encourage researchers, academics, research managers and innovation professionals from all disciplines to participate and share their experiences.
