High-Level Research Fellowship

The Embassy of France to Australia has just announced the launch of its High-Level Research Fellowship (Séjour Scientifique de Haut Niveau - SSHN).
The SSHN Fellowship is open to PhD or postdoctoral researchers (0 to 5 years after completing their thesis) working at an Australian university for a one-to-two-month research placement in France. The aim of this programme is to facilitate and strengthen collaboration with academic researchers in scientific fields that are priorities for both France and Australia.
Priority research areas: digital technology, quantum science, biotechnology, environmental sciences, energy, low-carbon mobility, space, food, information and communication technologies, and the humanities and social sciences related to these fields.
Applications close on August 16, 2026. The mobility period must take place with an arrival in France between 1 October and 1 December 2026.
