Evaluation of hip fracture risks using Artificial Intelligence approaches and 3D medical biometrics

In this project we propose to develop and evaluate an image processing method to automatically segment 3D Quantitative Computed Tomography and micro-computed tomography images of the hip region, and detect features related to fracture risk. To do this, two approaches will be recommended. The first approach is suitable for small databases, while the second one uses Deep Learning (DL) methods and is suitable for larger databases.
