Preparing Australia's participation in Horizon Europe: Help us shape the conversation

Australia's forthcoming association to Horizon Europe from 2027 marks an important milestone for international research collaboration. It will open new opportunities for Australian universities, research organisations and innovators to participate more closely in one of the world's largest research and innovation programmes.

To support the Australian research community in preparing for these opportunities, the Embassy of France in Australia, together with its partners, is developing an information webinar dedicated to Horizon Europe and its practical implications for Australian participants.

We want to hear from the research community

Every institution is at a different stage of its Horizon Europe journey.

Some researchers have already participated in European projects, while others are only beginning to explore what Australia's future association could mean for their research.

To ensure the webinar addresses the most relevant questions, we are inviting researchers, research managers, international offices, grants professionals, universities, research organisations and innovation stakeholders to complete a short survey.

The survey explores:

• current knowledge and experience with Horizon Europe;

• existing collaborations with European partners;

• research areas of interest;

• expectations for the webinar;

• barriers to participation;
